Product Review: Bulgari Jasmin Noir Fragrance

Name: Jasmin Noir
Brand: Bulgari
Size: 50ml
Price: €75

What I liked:
– nice scent
– long-lasting

What I didn’t like:
– scent not original and very subtle
– no one else can smell the scent but me
– the packaging
– the price

Jasmin Noir is a floral, woody fragrance with notes of green sap, gardenia, sambac jasmin absolute, satin almond, precious wood, licorice and tonca bean.

The fragrance is lovely but light and quiet. When you first spray it on, it is rather sweet. After a while, I could smell the jasmin note, which I expected to be quite strong considering it gives the name to the scent, but it is actually quite faint, at least on me. The dry down is woodsy and dark. Overall, the the scent is close to the skin smell and not really memorable.

The scent lasts all day but it is so light that no one can really smell it on me and even I have to press my nose to my skin to get a whiff of it.

I’m not very keen on the packaging. The heavy black glass bottle is too simple and common for my taste.

Overall, I don’t like this fragrance very much. The scent is longlasting and plesant but too soft and you can hardly smell it. It is quite expensive and I’d rather spent my money on something more original and stronger.

Rating: 2/5

I really love Bulgari’s perfumes but after a while they become repetitive. Except for Blv (or Blu) which I own, the rest of them kinda smell like Blv. Woody floral is the new trend so Bulgari decided to make one, I think. Have you tried Bulgari Black? I’ve heard that one is very different from the rest of them.

I actually haven’t tried that one yet. I tend to stay away from Bulgari’s perfumes, as like you said, they skind smell the same. I might check that one out next time I go to my local store. I prefer more unique fragrances like Serpentine by Cavalli, that smells gorgeous! I don’t mind floral woody fragrances as long as other people are able to smell them too! I don’t like overpowering fragrances, but this is really really subtle!
